Exercise, music, movies, laughter and reminiscing are just some of what partic- ipants will do in a typical day. A team of dedicated volunteers helps create and maintain a welcoming and engaging envi- ronment. "We provide the comforts of home with the assistance of professionals," Sara continues. "Our direct care staff consists of CNAs, and our team includes a life enrichment coordinator, outreach specialist, cook and director." Adult Day NWA participants can attend full days for $95 or half days for $50. The program is available 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., 5 days a week. Medicaid covers the program, and some Long Term Care Insurance Policies will reimburse benefi- ciaries for program costs as well. The prog ram recently received a $15,000 grant from the Schmeid- ing Center, and thanks to that type of support they can offer the program to more seniors. "We won't turn anyone away," Sara notes. "Grants and scholarships are avail- able." She says that Adult Day NWA is still looking for naming sponsors for rooms in the new location. A sponsor's company or family name will be displayed in the room for the entirety of the center's 10-year lease. Sponsors will also receive honorary platinum sponsorship for future Senior Expos. As the organization begins service in the new location, Sara says she's thrilled that so many regular program partici- pants are coming from Bella Vista. Some are even acting as spokespersons, telling others what their loved ones can expect from the program. "It's like a family here, and I'm so excited to be growing our family." Adult Day NWA is also looking for CNAs to join the team at the new loca- tion. They will be having an open house on Friday, September 27 from 5-7 p.m. Make sure to stop by and check out the new facility.
