"He loves football and will eventually play a lot of snaps." The Panthers also bring in extra beef at tight end when they go to their Rhino package in short yardage situations with junior Keondre Westbrook (5-10, 261), senior Kolby Fesler (6-3, 254) and senior Thad Wright (5-11, 208). Offensive line The Panthers graduated two of their top linemen from last season but feel good about the group returning in 2019. Junior Jared Clark (6-3, 318) started ev- ery game at guard a year ago and moves to left tackle. "He's a big part of what we're trying to accomplish," Craig said. "He's able to do some things that other kids can't. With his size he can cover up defensive ends in pass protection whereas a lot of kids struggle in that situation." Clark is also a spiritual leader of the team, hosting Bible studies during the offseason and summer. "That's great for our kids," Craig said. Junior Alex Miller (5-5, 264) and senior Ronny Stillwagon (5-10, 208) also work at the position. Senior Andrew Gutierrez (6-6, 426) is the biggest Panther on the roster and will work at left guard. "He works so hard every day and is an inspiration to our team and coaching staff," Craig said. "Just a guy we really, really respect. I'm so glad he's part of our team because of his attitude and effort every day." Senior Mariano Dominguez (6-0, 255) also works at left guard and tackle but is a starter on defense. Junior Kaden Crittenden (5-7, 218) works there as well, while sophomore J.P. Wills (5-7, 219) can backup at guard or center. Senior Marco Salcedo (5-4, 298) has seen varsity action at center and will get his chance to start there in 2019. "Marco Salcedo is a kid I'm very proud of," Craig said. "He's lost about 35 pounds, gotten himself down to a body OFFENSE Continued from Page 6C See OFFENSE on Page 8C Mon-Sat 11am-9pm 100 E.
