January 16, 2013 www.DesertMessenger.com Skyhawk takes to the QIA stage Feb. 5th Quartzsite, AZ - Come Early 6:15pm, stay late 9pm as Skyhawk takes to the QIA Stage Tuesday, February 5th for their "Really Big Show" of the season. Don't miss this show! Skyhawk's musical show features music ranging from Hank William's traditional country to Big Band and most everything in between. Skyhawk Band members hail from the United States and Canada, gathering together in Quartzsite for the Snowbird Season. Sonja Bartel (British Columbia and Colorado) plays the trumpet and piano and belts out songs with an attitude and then sings a love song with warmth, passion and feeling. Norm Sharp (Colorado and British Columbia) plays guitar and with his unique voice performs a wide variety of songs. Wayne Walker (Ontario) will be featured playing the meanest set of drums in Quartzsite, maybe the entire state of Arizona! Del Trogden (Colorado), the newest member of Skyhawk, plays bass and adds depth with his vocals. Special guests appearing with Skyhawk will be: The Cleaning Lady – beginning at 6:15pm. "Ethel" will provide pre-show entertainment. She has been in the area for several years and keeps the audience in stiches with her cleaning antics. Mr. Cliff Price, from Sedalia, Missouri, will be performing in both segments of the show. Cliff's deep, deep voice and shyness keeps the audience spellbound with his renditions of "Long, Black Train" and "Ring of Fire." Tiny Tim Impersonator (Identity unknown). If undershorts can be tightened just right, you will hear a good rendition of Tiny Tim's "Tip Toe Through the Tulips." "May the Birds be With You!"
