Born in Burke County, NC on August 5, 1962, he was the son of the late Robert Clayton Canipe and Lucy Elizabeth Jordan Canipe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Jane Dowdle. Survivors include his sis- ter, Catherine Yancey and husband, Jerry of Connelly Springs. He was born on September 11, 1930, in Lincoln County, North Carolina, to the late Morris Shuford Ramsaur, Sr. and Dezzie Lee Grigg Ramsaur. In addition to his parents, Eddie was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Wood Ramsaur, as well as his siblings Morris Shuford, Jr., Katherine, Hubert, and Bill. Mr. Ramsur served our country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. Eddie is survived by his daughter, Gwen Smart, and two grandchildren.
