The mission of the thrift store is to raise money through sales of used and new items in the store to help other organizations help others. Since opening in March of 2011, the store has been able to help many local organizations with funds, and they have so far been able to give out $8500.00 to groups like the Fire Dept., Parks and Rec., Isaiah 58 Project, Scholars' Academy lunch program, Quartzsite Elementary School, Alliance Church youth camping trips, the Food Bank, the Senior Citizens Center, and funds for the First Assembly of God Church for their emergency supplies in case of power outages, etc. They have also given funds to Search and Rescue to help them with their needs. These funds were possible thanks to all the donated items that come into the store for resale, and the volunteers at the store wish to thank everyone who brings things in so they are able to sell them and help these and other organizations help others in need. If you have items to donate, please bring them by the store during open hours if possible--Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. If you cannot get there during Page 3 these times, or if you need things picked up, you can call Jini Dill at 927-6039 or cell 928-916-7338. All donations are greatly appreciated. No beds or large appliances please, and only things in good working order. Come on in and meet some of the best volunteers in town, and look on the display board at the front of the store to see where the money has been going--they will keep adding more photos and names as more funds are given out. This store is totally run by volunteers, and they are really making a big difference in helping these Quartzsite Massage & Body Works Licensed in Swedish, Healing Touch, Deep Tissue, and Certified Medical Massage for Arthritis organizations whose funds have been limited to still do what they can to help others.
