Relay For Life will begin at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 18th and go all night until 9 a.m. on Sat., May 19th at the Cleveland County Fairground. Prospective contestants should send all required materials to Bonnie Allison, 1907 Flint Hill Church Rd, Shelby, NC 28152. Applications must be postmarked by May1st. Are you a great singer? SELL YOUR STUFF TODAY IN And Only 6 eligible contestants will be chosen to take part in the concert. The Relay for Life Entertainment Committee will choose the final 6 contestants and that decision is final. Each contestant should submit short biographical informa- tion, proof of age, contact information, a picture and demo CD of their singing. Relay for Life attendees will be able to vote for their favorite performer by using $1 bills to place a vote at the event May 18th-May 19th. Attendees can vote as many times as they want. All proceeds will be given to the Relay for Life fundraiser. The concert will take place at Relay for Life at 2 AM on May 19th, so keep in mind that you will be required to perform at this late hour. The contestant with the most $1 votes will be crowned this year's "Relay Idol". 2012 Cleveland County Relay Idol rules 1. Contestants must be 18 or older and live in Cleveland County.
