This year was extra special, as it marked the events quarter century of entertainment. Cowboys, cowgirls, bluegrass music, petting zoo, vendors and great food were part of the festi- val. The rodeo is held on the Hamrick family farm, as it has been since the beginning. With the former cowboy and rodeo clown at the mic, Thurston called out information and scoring for each event. The crowd roared with approval and cheered each winner. The two day event was filled with family fun and cow- boy hats dominated the crowd. People came from several states to enjoy this great experience in Boiling Springs. The building, which just arrived on May 8th, will be permanently housed in the back parking lot of the County Office Building at 130 South Post Road. in Shelby. When totally functional, Association members will be able to use the "Honey House" for extraction and bot- tling. The new facility will make the laborious and messy task of extraction much more efficient for beekeeper members. A training program will be offered to prepare members on the proper use of the house.
