Over 100 flying enthusiasts at- tended. Every morning, members of Quartzsite Desert Fliers, one of the fastest growing clubs in Quartzsite, are found flying their Radio Controlled (RC) aircraft at the James B. Colwell RC Flying Field, just north of Town Hall. The QDF club members range in ages from 15 to 85 and skill level from novice to expert. Members actively support their hobby and enjoy helping and teaching all who are inter- ested. The club has AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics) certified instructors. The club members encourage you to stop by the field and watch from the viewing stands or if you have an interest in flying model aircraft contact any one of the members at the field and they will be glad to help you get started.
