Central Blvd. • Quartzsite draws over 600 visitors Quartzsite Quilters' Annual Quilt Show "The Blessing" by Janet Nieuwenhoff, took 1st Place and Quartzsite Quilters Members Choice Awards at the Annual Quartzsite Quilt Show held February 3rd and 4th, 2012 at the Senior Center. Janet uses a counted cross stitch technique and a computer software pro- gram to design her award winning quilts. The original "The Blessing" is an oil painting, now transformed into a quilt canvas of 2,648 tiny 1/4 inch squares. It took Janet 10 months to make this incredible quilt. There were over 150 quilts displayed in the Quilt Show this year, drawing over 600 visitors to the popular event. Congratulations to the quilters for another successful event!
