Midge welcomed snowbirds from across the country at "Lords Little Acher" for more than 30 years. When she was wid- owed she continued to operate the park to the delight of her snowbird family. In 2010 Midge moved to her former home of Grants Pass, Ore. to be close to family. After graveside services, a celebration of her life was held with family, friends and caregivers remembering her positive atti- tude and her determination to be indepen- dent. Midge was a wonderful cook, master gardener, and very active member of the QIA, one of the first owners of a cell phone, an awesome bingo player and she enter- tained folks at her table for their nightly dice game of ten-thousand followed by a bowl of ice-cream. February 15, 2012 Midge was born in Sacramento, Calif. on May 6, 1916, and graduated from Grant Union High School. In 1935 she married Rolland Coffield. In 1945 they moved to Grants Pass with their two small children and built their home in the rural area where they could raise animals and a large garden and orchard. After 26 years of marriage, she was wid- owed, and pursued a career in real estate, becoming one of the first women in the area to obtain her brokers license. In 1965 she married Oral "Doc" Lords. When they discovered the community of Quartzsite, they bought property and developed spaces to accommodate their many winter friends. Each summer they motorhomed to visit family in Oregon, Ida- ho and Utah. They had 28 years together before she was widowed. On her 90th birthday, she married long- time companion Pat Childers, who passed away the following year. Midge is survived by daughter, Marj Hause of Federal Way, Wash., two step- daughters, Marlys Wilcock and Donna Mc- Gee, 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchil- dren and one great-great grandchild. In addition to her three husbands, Midge was preceded in death by a son, Curtis Cof- field, and a stepson, Joe Lords. 8 1/2 x 11 & 12 x 12 Paper & Cardstock Envelopes SW Gifts Fax Service Copies Flyers Laminations Business Cards Address Labels
