Ironwood St., Quartzsite www.DesertMessenger.com Paul Winer to perform at QIA again in March By Joanne Winer Paul Winer, owner of Reader's Oa- sis Bookstore, just successfully filled the Q.I.A. hall for his two concerts last month, and has been asked to do another concert there on March 20th this year. They had booked him back for next January also, and he had asked them if there was another night this year that they had free and he would do another concert, with half of the proceeds given to the Q.I.A. as a benefit. Said Winer, "We have always sup- ported the Q.I.A. for all they do for NEED CASH? Jim Buys GOLD! Broken Jewelry, Old Teeth, Coins, Nuggets, etc. Across from McDonald's • Quartzsite the winter season for our visitors, and last year we were able to share the pro- ceeds with them, but the two concerts this year cost more to put on, so we were unable to make such a donation, so, we came up with the idea of having another concert that would be shared with them as a donation to the Q.I.A. We are pleased to be able to help this great organization like this, and hope to be able to do it again next year." The Q.I.A. has been a great support- er of Celia's Rainbow Gardens, which is sponsored by Paul and Joanne in memory of their daughter Celia. The Q.I.A. hosts their annual Spaghetti dinner fundraiser for the Gardens and has for many years now. "We really appreciated the volunteers who help with our events, and thank the Q.I.A. for all their support, and this is our way of saying thank you." said Paul. Be sure to mark your calendars for this show on March 20. Cost of admis- sion is still only $5.00 per person. Paul will also be doing a concert in Parker on March 3 at the Elks Lodge, and will play at the annual Party In the Park on March 18 for the Gardens.
