The idea was for authors to help each other with information they might not get from a book fair. The authors fair runs from the beginning of January to the end of February, with some authors even staying later than that. They come when it is convenient for them, can stay as long as they like, and it costs them nothing. They keep all the money from the books they sell. They started a tradition the first year of having a potluck amongst themselves once a week, and some of them have kept up their friend- NEED CASH? Jim Buys STERLING SILVER! All Silver Coins, .999 Bars, Sterling Silverware, etc. 1240 W. Main Street Across from McDonald's • Quartzsite ships all three years and keep in touch when they leave. The author's fair is open to any author - just bring a table and chair, and the book that the author wishes to publicize through show and sell. For those who love to read, come on out and meet some authors, find some new reading material, and get it signed right on the spot. It is never known how many authors will be there, or when, so just check in on it from time to time to get them all in. There is no charge to come to the fair so be sure to check it out.
