After giving Quartzfest* 2013 a trial run for 12 days, we found it was just too long...so, we're shortening Quartzfest*2014 to just 8 days. Our 2014 Opening Ceremony will be on Sunday January 19th and we will officially end with closing ceremony directly following our "Last Hoorah Cookout on the Coals" on the afternoon of January 26th. If you're not an amateur radio operator yet, or if you want to upgrade your license to a higher class, you'll be able to take your exam's right there at Quartzfest* and have your Quality RV January 15, 2014 call sign or upgrade from the FCC by weeks end. We'll be holding licensing exams twice during the week so plan ahead to be at Quartzfest early. If you have questions about what Amateur Radio is or what its capabilities are, make sure you catch our Intro to Amateur Radio Seminar conducted by Gordo WB6NOA of the Gordon West Radio School.
