City Council Vote Places Parks and Recreation Bond
Recently, the Fayetteville City Council voted to place the Parks and Recreation Capital Projects Bond Package whether or not more parks and recreation facilities are built and current facilities are improved.
tennis center, sports complex, Cape Fear River Park, expansions of community greenways, and improvements to existing parks and facilities. Fayetteville currently only has one public pool and an antiquated Senior Center that is overbooked and undersized.

The City of Fayetteville is holding a series of meetings for business owners within the city limits. These opportunities are to seek ideas from owners about a proposed commercial recycling program.
Commercial recycling would be the next progression following the City's curbside recycling and multi-family recycling programs, commercial program is listed as a high priority Target for Action on the City Council's 2012-2013 Strategic Plan.
