The child said he heard his back door being k icked in and people walk ing around in his house. The child was cr y ing on t he phone, whispering t hat he was home alone and he said that he was scared and didn't know what to do. What would you do? Could law enforcement be a career for you? FTCC also of fers work shops to share informat ion, answer quest ions and help indiv iduals learn more about career oppor t unit ies in Basic Law Enforcement . If you are not sure if law enforcement is for you but want more informat ion v isit t he BLET st af f located at FTCC's Spring Lake campus. The st af f w ill discuss what to expect before, during and af ter t he academy. The st af f w ill also inv ite a recruiter f rom a N.C . law enforcement agenc y to t alk w it h interested par t ies about t he agenc y and answer any quest ions. For anyone who is ready to receive informat ion and begin t he applicat ion process, signing up for an informat ion session and applicat ion work shop w it h t he BLET st af f is a good f irst step. Print out t he applicat ion packet by v isit ing t he website and bring it w it h you to t he work shop. By t he t ime you leave t he work shop, more t han 75 percent of t he applicat ion process w ill be completed, and you w ill be on your way to a rewarding career in law enforcement . If you already k now what BLET is all about, sk ip t he informat ional session and move right into get t ing t he applicat ion process completed w it h BLET st af f assist ance.
