Christian Hits for the Summer THE BUZZ by STEVE TURLEY A new label and a great new song from Mark Schultz All Things Possible was inspired by Mark Schultz's bike ride across the country in support of The James Fund where he raised over a quarter of a million dol- lars for the organization. During the trip, Schultz realized that when he was relying on his own strength, he was limited with what he could accomplish. "When I started to focus on the purpose behind this bike ride, to answer God's call to us to care for widows and orphans, I saw all the amazing paths God would open up for us," recalls Schultz. "Not only did I make it across the country in his strength, we were able to raise more than we had hoped. What is impossible with man, is pos- sible with God." With Phillips, Craig & Dean it never gets old For Phillips, Craig & Dean, worship is really what it's all about. Even as they minister to God's people in word and in song, they get swept away themselves in moments of praise for a God who causes us to breathe in his goodness and live again. That's why their message and sound is still relevant today, even after two decades of ministry together. "'Great I Am" is a song of worship that just keeps getting bigger. It's this small trickle of praise coming down this mountain, and by the time it reaches that big, huge chorus at the end, that big payoff, it's just this avalanche of sound and harmonies. It's just hard not to lift it up in praise and worship," says Randy Phillips. Better Than Life by Remedy Drive The Buzz this week focuses on a few Christian songs that are up and coming. breathing, barely alive and I'm in need of change. And that psalm that says 'your love is better than life' I've never understood it … I'm still looking to understand it. But I know this, that it takes a love that is beyond comprehen- sion, that can act like a defibrillator to bring rhythm back to this heart of mine when I'm barely even breathing. And put fire back in my lungs, put fire back in my eyes, and to wake this soul of mine within me."
