These free monthly events are where downtown galleries, studios and art spaces open their doors to the public in an after- hours celebration of art and culture. Retail stores are also open with some of them providing discounts or cultural activities throughout the evening. Restaurants are waiting to take your order for a fantastic evening of authentic cuisine that will make your taste buds happy that you chose Downtown Fayetteville. Taking place from 6:00-9:00 p.m. on the fourth Friday of each month, the self-guided tours have made Downtown Fayetteville a popular destination for art lovers. All artists are welcomed to join in the fun! There are many galleries, shops, and venues willing to host artists that practice anything from graphic arts, photography, painters, ceramics, sculpture, performing arts, dancing, musicians, writers, authors, poets, knitters, quilters, crocheters, etc...ALL ARTS ARE WELCOMED! If you are an artist or performer and would like to perform somewhere, many of our retailers and restaurants would love to be your host for the evening. Please contact the Downtown Alliance for more information. Fourth Friday is a true celebration of the arts and Downtown Fayetteville, taking place the fourth Friday of every month. Folks of all ages get a taste of Fayetteville's art and entertainment while enjoying the small galleries, bookstores, bistros and shops full of unique items. Exhibits, entertainment and featured artists all come together to bring the art of Fayetteville to one and all, free of charge! Businesses in the four and a half block radius of historic downtown Fayetteville join the action and become artistic venues, featuring the arts in all forms. Every month, Fourth Friday features a theme or special event. In addition to Fourth Friday Art Walk, with all of the galleries, shops, restaurants and art supporters, more than 400 artists, crafters, performers and authors have opportunities to share their creativity in Downtown with exhibits, performances, classes, clubs and demonstrations year-round.
