Leading the way as the Small Business of the Year was Moonlight Communications, while Anstead's Tobacco Company took home two awards. Wayne Anstead was named the Small Business Person of the Year, and Anstead's took home the Fan-Voted Social Media Champion of the Year Honor. The Young Entrepreneur of the Year went to Charlie Allen of Two Men & Truck (as well as Green Biz), while Jean Stultz with Bragg Mutual Federal Credit Union won the Professional of the Year honor. The Piedmont Natural Gas Diversity Small Business Champion of the Year went to radio station WIDU, while McKee Homes took the Family-Owned Small Business of the Year award. Up & Coming Weekly took home the honors in the Go Local Small Business Champion of the Year category.
