December 5, 2012 QIA brings world class music in January Art Guild Updates The Quartzsite Improvement Association (QIA) and the Desert Grass Music Series are teaming up to bring world class music to Quartzsite this winter. First up will be The Claire Lynch Band from Nashville on Sunday, January 6. Claire has been nominated for 3 Grammys. Her mix of Swing, Folk, and Country is infectious. Bring your dancing shoes. On Sunday, January 13, the John Jorgenson Quintet, also from Nashville, comes to the QIA. Country fans will remember John won a Grammy two years ago for his duet album with Brad Paisley. John is considered by many to be one of the world���s greatest living guitar players. He spent six years touring the world. On Sunday, January 20th, the Good Lovelies, one of Canada���s hidden treasures, perform. They are huge stars north of the border, but U.S. audiencat es are starting to catch on. Last year they won the Juneau award (Canadian Grammy) for Best Traditional Band in Delivered by UPS or FedEx Canada.
