(John 6:40) Today we can feel His Spirit and if we accept Him and are redeemed, we are set free from sin. There are those today who say we did not get to see Jesus as the disciples did and that is true. We did not get to sit with Jesus and listen to him talk. But today, you can sit in church and listen to Jesus talk through the ser- mon and feel the Spirit take hold. It is so powerful that you cannot sit still with the Spirit telling you to go to the altar and when you do, the Spirit takes hold and you can feel Jesus beside you. He is so close that you will put out your hand to touch Him. This Spirit is not mentioned in the Old Testament. Why? It was not in motion then. It is the resurrected Spirit of a risen Lord that suffered death on an old wicked cross. No, his disciples did not feel it until after His resurrection. It first came in to help, as we find in the second chapter of Acts, but only to those who have accepted Jesus as Lord. That is the time for the Lord to bless with His resur- rected Spirit.
