FFA members show a strong interest in this project and are requesting the help of the community to accomplish their vision. Both hunters and those who wish to help sponsor the endeavor are needed. FFA members and local outdoorsmen are encouraged to legally harvest deer and take the fi eld-dressed animal to Wells-Jenkins-Wells Processing in Forest City, NC. After the processor has packaged the meat, students will deliver to the U-CAN Bliss Center in Lawndale. Every ounce of meat that is donated will go to our friends who are in need of this food. One deer can feed a family for three months or up to two hundred people at one time.
