S�������� 15, 2010 Free Gospel Bluegrass Concert By Joanne Winer QUARTZSITE - Bluegrass Brethren will be in concert at the Quartzsite First As- sembly of God Church, 665 W. Tyson, Quartzsite, AZ on Sunday evening, Sept. 19, at 7:00PM. The group presents a unique blend of gospel, hymns and traditional instru- mentals to their listeners. Bluegrass Brethren’s simple instrumental approach combined with heartfelt vocals and a fun loving stage presence make for an entertaining event. Best known for their own special brand of original gospel tunes rendered in a bluegrass music style, the group has delighted audiences of all ages since 1977. Their music has received national and international radio airplay. Everyone is welcome to the free concert; however a love offering will be re- ceived during the concert. For further information, please contact the church at (928) 927-5808. approved for USDA grant for generator Senior Center Quartzsite Senior Citizens Center re- ceived notice they have been approved for a $28,226 grant from the USDA Rural Development. The matching grant will be used to purchase and in- stall a generator that can be used for air conditioning at the Senior Center. The matching funds come from a do- nation of $50,000 from a donor who wishes to remain anonymous. Carol Kelley, Senior Center Activity Director said, “Because of one person in this community, we can do this!” The cooling center will be used dur- ing power outages.
