T4 WHATS UP! March 12 - 18, 2023 REAL TV BY RAYE SMITH TV Media Braving a new world: Growing older for many means stepping out of your comfort zone, discovering who you are and making your own way. For the cast of "Re- turn to Amish," those stakes are taken to the extreme, as they risk everything they've ever known to forge their own paths. Season 7 of the series premieres Tuesday, March 14, on TLC. A spinoff of "Breaking Amish," which ran on the net- work for four seasons (from 2012-2014), "Return" follows the original series cast and some new faces. Cameras fol- low the group of Amish and former Amish cast members as they experience the world outside their closed communi- ties to figure out where they truly belong. But the decision is not one to be taken lightly: once they've decided to offi- cially pursue an "English life" (a life outside the Amish com- munity), the individual is ex- communicated from their community, friends and family and must make their way com- pletely on their own. While Season 6 found the cast facing down everything from the pandemic, heart- break and parental DNA tests to new adventures and first kisses, this season looks set to find the new departures facing anxiety-inducing new situa- tions while the longtime cast members continue building their new lives. Don't miss the "return" of these brave individuals as they experience the world and all it has to offer. "Return to Amish" Season 7 premieres Tuesday, March 14, on TLC. Royal relations: Hear ye, hear ye! Gather round for a new chance at love under the watchful eye of the public in the new unscripted reality se- ries "Queen's Court," premier- ing Thursday, March 16, on Peacock. Heading into its premiere with a 10-episode run, the se- ries follows three successful, famous women as they look for love. But to keep up with their fast-paced, public-facing lives, their significant others will need to prove that they can handle the heat. Hosted by real-life married couple Holly Robinson Peete ("21 Jump Street") and former NFL quarterback Rodney Peete, the duo help the Queens to navigate a "Bachelor"-style dating pool as they find their way through the emotional roller coaster of dating 21 prospective suitors. On their individual quests to find a King fit for a Queen, the women support each other through the process as they work to find their perfect match. The debut season stars Tam- ar Braxton, Evelyn Lozada and Nivea as the eligible Queens who are putting it all on the line to find the love they de- serve. A singer and television per- sonality, Maryland-born Brax- ton began her career in 1990 with The Braxtons, an R&B group formed with her sisters. Since then, she's appeared in the We TV series "Braxton Family Values," served as co- host of "The Real" and ap- peared on "Celebrity Big Brother" (she won the second season in 2019). Lozada is an entrepreneur, model and television person- ality who has appeared in se- ries including "Basketball Wives" and "Living Lozada." She has also authored the books "The Wives Associa- tion: Inner Circle" and "The Perfect Date." Last but not least is R&B singer Nivea, who rose to prominence in the early 2000s, and is best known for the Grammy-nominated hit "Don't Mess With My Man." Tune in to find out the Queens' final decrees when "Queens Court" premieres Thursday, March 16, on Peacock. True test: Does your rela- tionship have what it takes to go far? Three new long-term, committed couples are putting their relationships to the ulti- mate stress test: by dating oth- er people. Season 4 of "Put a Ring on It" premieres Friday, March 17, on OWN, and will be available to stream on the OWN app and discovery+. As they work to determine whether there should be wed- ding bells in their future (or if they should call it quits), the season's three couples push through an intense, emotional- ly charged experience that takes place over a month, guid- ed by the expertise of relation- ship coach Stacii Jae Johnson. With more than a decade of experience helping couples discover their truths and move forward in healthy romantic relationships, Johnson holds no punches when it comes to what couples need to hear. During each week of the process, the couples go on dates with new people and put their trust to the test as they confront the toughest ques- tion of all: is their current rela- tionship really their happily ever after? Or is there some- one else better for them out there? This season's couples, who have all been together for two years, include Dunbar and Chance, Ricky and Catherine, and Joya and Jasha. The series comes from exec- utive producers Will Packer ("Beast," 2022) for Will Packer Media, and Jeff Spangler and Rob LaPlante (both of "Are You the One?") for Lightheart- ed Entertainment.
