T8 WHATS UP! February 6 - 12, 2022 BY RAYE SMITH TV Media WHAT'S NEW ON PRIME "I Want You Back" (2022) "All's fair in love and war," as the proverbial saying goes, and the lead characters of this new film are taking it to heart. "I Want You Back" premieres Friday, Feb. 11, on Prime. Both nursing bro- ken hearts after an abrupt end to their relationships, strangers Pe- ter (Charlie Day, "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia") and Emma (Jenny Slate, "Bob's Burg- ers") became acquaintances on the worst day of their lives. Though both of their exes have already moved on and started new relationships, Peter and Emma are determined to win back the loves of their lives. Hatching a hilariously hare- brained scheme to break their former partners apart from their new loves, these newfound friends see their plan turn up some unexpected results. Creat- ed and written by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, the writers behind "Love, Simon" (2018) and "This is Us," this fun, new ro- mantic comedy is directed by Ja- son Orley ("Big Time Adoles- cence," 2019). The film also stars Scott Eastwood ("Suicide Squad," 2016), Gina Rodriguez ("Jane the Virgin"), Manny Ja- cinto ("The Good Place") and Clark Backo ("Letterkenny"). A bud- ding young baker in the magical Wonderland Bakery, Alice ex- plores the kingdom while em- barking on culinary adventures, creates delicious new treats and learns about friendship with new and old friends, including the Cheshire Cat (Max Mittel- man, "Miraculous: Tales of La- dybug & Cat Noir"), Princess Rosa (Abigail Estrella, "Wolf- boy and the Everything Facto- ry"), Hattie (C.J. Uy, "The Ball Method," 2020), Dinah (Audrey Wasilewski, "My Life as a Teen- age Robot"), Fergie the white rabbit (Jack Stanton, "The Mick") and more by her side. WHAT'S NEW ON NETFLIX "Bigbug" (2022) Humans take on machines in the not-so-ordinary French science fiction film "Bigbug," coming to Netflix on Friday, Feb. 11. However, this happy, easy existence is threat- ened when a group of domestic robots in a quiet residential home rebel and decide to take their masters hostage in their own house. While the dysfunc- tional family and their nosy neighbor become increasingly hysterical indoors, a new gener- ation of android is trying to take over the outside world.
