Rick Peck Special To McDonald County Press Kellen Hoover enters his fourth year as coach of the McDonald County High School football team with expectations of having maybe the best team he has had in his four years at MCHS. Those expectations are based on nine returning starters, including four of whom were two-way starters. The returners include a mix of skill players and linemen, including two-year starter Kaidan Campbell, a 270-pound senior. Campbell will start at guard on offense with returning starters Junior Eliam and Garrett Gricks slated to return at center and the other guard, respectively, giving the Mustangs a solid line in front of quarterback Cole Martin and running back Bailey Lewis. "Kaidan will anchor an offensive line that should have some continuity," Hoover said. "He is ready to take on more of a leadership role in addition to playing more on both sides of the ball."
