The only good thing about missing so much time, McDonald County will be a senior dominated club, with eight returning seniors providing bunches of past experience. Coach Logan Grab said having so much experience returning has lessened the impact of missing so much time. "We were not able to start summer contact days until July13, but that does not seem to have impacted us too much," Grab said. "The kids were able to pick up where they left off. We are still work- ing to get them to a physical state that is competition ready. We attended a strength and conditioning session after our volleyball workout so that has made a significant difference in our overall performance." The eight seniors who return from last year's 6-23 team are Erin Cooper, Kaycee Factor, Katelyn Ferdig, Shye Hardin, Rylee Bradley, Mollie Milleson, Sydnie Sanny and Jamie Malone. Factor and Cooper both received Big 8 All-conference honors last season. Factor was named to the first team as a libero while Cooper earned second team honors as a setter. "Kaycee and Erin bring an immense amount of experience and leadership to our team," Factor said. "They are both gritty players who constantly hustle.
