March 6, 2013 www.DesertMessenger.com Annual Celia���s Rainbow Gardens Party in the Park set for March 17 By Joanne Winer The annual Party in the Park to celebrate Celia���s Rainbow Gardens will be held on Sunday, March 17 starting at noon. The free lunch includes burgers, hot dogs, salads, desserts and drinks. There will be donation cans set out if anyone wishes to help with the cost of the food. Entertainment this year will again be Barefoot and Boots, who have been donating their talents to help the Gardens for both the parties in the park and the spaghetti dinners for many years. They are a wonderful country band, and have been doing such a great job for us all this time, and we really appreciate them. Also playing boogie woogie blues will be Paul Winer and Ralph Martin on one string washtub bass, along with Jerry Mullins on guitar. Morgan Mulac will also sing a duet with Paul and backgroud vocals on another song. There will also be a raf���e, with tickets $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00 with some very nice prizes. This party is to celebrate Celia���s Rainbow Gardens and all the volunteers who have made it such a wonderful place to visit with all the hard work they have done over the years. Come on out and help us celebrate Celia���s birthday and have a great afternoon with lots of delicious food and great music!! A.M. and continue till 1:00 P.M. The Mobile Onsite Mammography vehicle, or M.O.M. unit, will also be onsite that day, so please come out and get your mammograms done if they are due. Prevention is key in ���ghting breast cancer! La Paz Medical Services, or the Quartzsite Clinic, as some of you know us as, would like to welcome everyone to the bi-annual La Paz Regional Hospital Health Fair on March 27th! The fair will be located at the clinic at 150 East Tyson Road , Quartzsite , AZ 85359 . There will be free screenings such as cholesterol, blood pressure, and bone densities, and there will also be vendors from local health care agencies to educate residents on the services that they offer in the area.
