We are looking forward to soon being a part of such a wonderful and caring community." The City of Fayetteville is in its final stages of firming up the relationship with the Astros, which will bring the team here for the next 30 years. "We too are very proud of our First Responders and their efforts surrounding Hurricane Matthew and are honored that David has taken the time to come here and present these checks on behalf of the Houston Astros to our First Responders and the Salvation Army," said Mayor Nat Robertson. "It is involvement and caring like this that we appreciate and we look forward to further cementing that relationship when the Astros join us here in Fayetteville." City Launches TRACStat for Residents to Monitor Performance The City of Fayetteville is launching a web application for residents to monitor the performance of City services and programs. The TRACStat application will report performance data, budget and financial data and updates for key strategic projects. This information had previously only been available semi-annually in printed format, or as a static document posted on a website with limited opportunity for the public to gauge organizational performance or return on investment of tax dollars. TRACStat was implemented at the request of the Fayetteville City Council. The URL for the new TRACStat portal is http://tracstat.fayettevillenc.gov. TRACStat gives residents and elected officials varying levels of detail on the City's organizational performance. Citizens can see high-level snapshots of how Fayetteville is meeting strategic goals and of the City's budget and can drill down to examine detailed data on specific measures. The City's performance measures tracks the efficiency and quality of its programs as a means of providing the best municipal services possible to its citizens and visitors, while also maintaining transparency in its operations. To ensure data integrity, the City adopted a Data Governance Policy and a developed a "Data Analytics Team" to provide support and guidance development of performance management metrics, recommend standards, benchmarks, and best practices to be used in the development of performance management metrics for purposes of uniformity in reporting and to perform periodic audits of performance management metrics for completeness and accuracy. The City of Fayetteville has recently been recognized with a Certificate of Excellence in Performance Management from the International City/County Management Association (ICMA). Of the 52 jurisdictions honored overall, Fayetteville is among 34 jurisdictions receiving the Certificate of Excellence – the highest level awarded for excellence in reporting and analyzing data and fostering the development of a data-driven culture. The City of Fayetteville is one of only two cities in North Carolina to receive this award. The ICMA's recognition validates the City's efforts to lead the nation in performance measurement, continuous improvement and community engagement.
