The following defend- ants were sentenced in Tehama County Superior Court, according to the Te- hama County District At- torney's Office: RecentState/Local Prison Commitments: People vs. Jose Campos Barajas, Transportation for Sale from a Non-Con- tiguous County Brief history: The Cal- ifornia Highway Patrol conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 5 because the Defendant's vehicle was following too closely behind another vehicle. A K9 alerted on the vehicle and the officer searched. During the search, offi- cers located a kilogram of cocaine hidden in the air filter of the engine com- partment and more than $25,000 in cash bundled in saran wrap. The Defen- dant admitted possessing both the cocaine and the money, claiming that he acquired the cocaine in Portland, Oregon. Sentenced to 9 years lo- cal prison. People vs. Scott Trevor Heninger, Bringing Con- traband into the Jail Brief history: The De- fendant was on probation in several felony cases and a participant in the Adult Felon Drug Court program. He was driving a car that was stopped for speeding. He had a syringe that was loaded with a small quan- tity of methamphetamine. He was arrested and taken to the Tehama County Jail, where he was warned about the consequences of bringing additional con- traband into the jail. Dur- ing the intake process, the searching officer found a glass methamphetamine pipe and two small bag- gies of methamphetamine in the Defendant's cloth- ing. The conviction in this matter violated his proba- tion in other cases. Sentenced to 3 years lo- cal prison on this case, as part of a total sentence of 5 years 4 months in his other matters. People vs. Jose Rosas Gonzalez, Felon in Posses- sion of Ammunition Brief history: Corning Police Department Offi- cers were investigating the burglary of a storage unit. During the investigation, the Defendant was con- tacted. He admitted pos- sessing some of the stolen items, but denied knowing they were stolen. A search warrant was served at De- fendant's residence and stolen property and 15 rounds of ammunition were located. The Defen- dant has previously been convicted of a felony. Sentenced to 2 years in state prison. People vs. Thomas De- wayne Walker, Felon in Possession of a Firearm Brief history: A Sher- iff's Department Deputy conducted a traffic stop on the Defendant's vehi- cle because of a broken windshield. There was an odor of marijuana coming from the car. The Defen- dant was hostile and com- bative, struggling with the deputy and trying to run away. The Defendant was restrained and admitted that there was a gun in the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, a loaded shot- gun was located. The De- fendant had previously been convicted of multi- ple felonies. Sentenced to 16 months in state prison. Recent County Jail Commitments: People vs. Brooke Ash- ley Williamson, First De- gree Residential Burglary Brief history: The vic- tim left her residence. When she returned, she saw lights on and believed that people were inside. The Sheriff's Department responded and the Defen- dant was located inside the residence. Items were missing from inside the residence. Sentenced to 5 years of formal probation, 4 years in prison suspended, 180 days in Tehama County Jail, 80 hours of commu- nity service and a waiver of appellate rights. People vs. Catherine Ma- rie Rodriguez, Conspiracy Brief history: The De- fendant's boyfriend was in custody of the Califor- nia Department of Correc- tions and Rehabilitation and housed at Salt Creek Conservation Camp. While monitoring phone calls be- tween the Defendant and her incarcerated boy- friend, the correctional of- ficer learned that Defen- dant would be bringing contraband to the facility. A team of officers was as- sembled and monitored the perimeter of Salt Creek. Late at night, the Defen- dant drove up in her vehi- cle and left a large bag in a ditch outside the prison facility. The bag contained alcohol, chewing tobacco, rolling papers and numer- ous other items of contra- band. Sentenced to 3 years of formal probation, 180 days in Tehama County Jail, 80 hours of community ser- vice and waived her appel- late rights. People vs. Luis Uribe Guzman, Felony Domestic Violence Brief history: The Defen- dant and victim were in a dating relationship. The Defendant returned home and punched the victim multiple times in the face, then strangled her for a pe- riod of time until she lost consciousness. Sentenced to 5 years of formal probation, 120 days in Tehama County Jail, 80 hours of community ser- vice and a waiver of appel- late rights. Upcoming Court Dates -Trials, Preliminary Hearings (PX) & Pre Trial Conferences (PTC): People vs. Quentin Ray Bealer, Murder. Brief history: The De- fendant was arrested and charged with the murder of a 14 year old victim who had been reported missing when she never returned home from School. Offi- cers located the victim's body two days later. TBJ: April 4, at 9 am in Sacramento Superior Court People vs. Travis John Kilburger Brief history: Defendant plead guilty to Domestic Violence with a Special Al- legation Pursuant to Great Bodily Injury During Do- mestic Violence and Ter- rorist Threats with a Spe- cial Allegation pursuant to Use of a Firearm and a vi- olation of False Imprison- ment. SENTENCING: Contin- ued to April 12 at 1 pm in Department 1 People vs. Poly Duenas Sanchez, Lucio Nenecia Madera, Gabino Madera, Murder with Special Al- legation-Personal and In- tentional Discharge of a Firearm, GBI, Conspiracy to Commit a Crime with Special Allegation-Per- sonal and Intentional Dis- charge of a Firearm, GBI. Brief history: The Vic- tim had met up with the three Defendants regard- ing money that was alleg- edly owed to the victim. During this confronta- tion the victim was chased down and shot twice with a shotgun. The victim died as a result of his injuries. TBJ: June 8, at 1:30 pm (Department to be deter- mined) People vs. Alan Duane Doulphus Jr., Chase Alan Doulphus: Murder, special allegation felony murder, personal and intentional, use of a firearm, assault with a firearm, false im- prisonment by violence, transportation of mari- juana. Brief history: The de- fendants went to a res- idence that contained a marijuana grow. The de- fendants confronted the victim and two other men who were at the residence and ordered them to the ground at gunpoint. The defendants proceeded to tie up the victim and the two men with zip ties and duct tape. The victim was able to free himself and at- tempt to flee the residence but was shot several times by the armed defendants. The victim eventually suc- cumbed to his injuries. Defendant's vehicle was located a short time later and a vehicle pursuit fol- lowed. Defendant's were eventually apprehended and taken into custody. Inside the vehicle officers located a large amount of marijuana. TBJ: March 23, at 1:30 pm (Department to be de- termined) People vs. John Noonkester, Willful, De- liberate and Premeditated Murder with Special Alle- gation, Personal and Inten- tional Discharge of a Fire- arm, GBI (2 counts); At- tempt: Willful, Deliberate and Premeditated Mur- der with Special Allega- tion, Personal and Inten- tional Discharge of a Fire- arm, GBI. Brief history: The Defen- dant is charged with shoot- ing and killing his ex-wife and her father, and shoot- ing a bystander. PTC: May 16, at 1:15 pm in Department 3 People vs. William Fos- ter, Derek Hale, Garrett Lenardo, Zachary Thorn- ton and Robert Beaugrand, attempted murder Brief history: What be- gan as a marijuana deal re- sulted in kidnapping, rob- bery and one individual with a gunshot wound. Sentencing: Beaugrand — March 21, at 8 am in De- partment 3 Sentencing: Foster and Hale — April 4, at 8 am in Department 3 Sentencing: Thornton — April 18, at 8 am in Depart- ment 3 People vs. Roberta Draper (12 counts) Cruelty to an animal Brief history: The Defen- dant is currently on proba- tion in a prior multi-count cruelty to animal case. One of the terms of her proba- tion was that she is no pos- sess animals. A probation search was conducted at her residence and law en- forcement located dogs, geese, guinea hens and tur- keys. One of the dogs was deceased, while some of the other animals appeared to be malnourished, dehy- drated, and in poor health. The Defendant admitted that all the animals found belonged to her.
