The day features Scrooge, Marley, and other characters from "A Christmas Carol" as well as depictions of actual people who lived during Victorian times. The a† ernoon also includes carriage rides, Father Christmas photos, holiday music, and carolers. Stick around for the candlelight procession at 5:30 p.m. that will stretch from the Arts Council to the Market House, followed by fi reworks. "Annie's Alehouse," a food court and performance area behind the Arts Council building that is modeled on the old Victorian pubs, will be open following the fi reworks during "Dickens A† er Dark." And of course, Downtown is always a great place to visit even when great events aren't happening! With plenty of shopping and dining options, as well as salons, museums, and parks, you can plan a "stay-cation" any day of the week.
