10 NOVEMBER 4-10, 2015 WWW.UPANDCOMINGWEEKLY.COM Bridging the gap between the military and the community The Chamber provides multiple ways to get involved, and programs like the Military Affairs Council (MAC) help to bridge the gap between the military and community. Joining MAC is a tremendous opportunity for members to meet personally with leaders from Fort Bragg and Pope Army Airfield, but it also serves as a networking opportunity for our military friends. MAC continues to participate in other programs throughout the year to provide support and assistance, such as the United States Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) Soldier, Family and Command Support Association. The mission of MAC is to enhance relationships and foster a heightened understanding between council members and the military community - Fort Bragg and Pope Army Airfield. Membership with MAC provides businesses many benefits, such as sponsorship opportunities, Chamber networking events including year-round socials, and recognition in Chamber newsletters. MAC also allows members to hear the latest happenings at Fort Bragg at Chairman's Coffee Club, held monthly. Those interested in getting involved with MAC are invited to attend the MAC Fall Social on November 19th at Highland Country Club from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The cost to attend is $50 for non-MAC members. MAC will also participate in "Annual Holiday Hearts Angel Tree" sponsored by the Fort Bragg ACS YMCA again this year. Attendees are asked to bring an unwrapped gift or toy, which will be presented to Fort Bragg & Pope Military children. More information is available at www.faybiz.com.
