Our Community
Recently there was an article written in this publication by Bill Bowman that asked where
the next generation of leaders is in our community. It is a great question and one the
business community has a big part of answering. How does our business community
become great and grow leaders? We think it begins with creating value within your
organization; attracting, developing and inspiring people of moral character and great
talent; recognition and admiration from their peers and community by having a solid
reputation for integrity, hard work, excellence and thought leadership; and by doing good
while giving back.
The last one is an area that the Chamber can help you with. Each year we run a program
called Leadership Fayetteville. This program provides future community leaders a
deeper understanding of current and emerging issues, affecting Greater Fayetteville. It
focuses on what the community has to offer as well as its leaders, needs, and issues
providing the participants an understanding of the business, political and civic climate.
Lastly, Leadership Fayetteville encourages graduates to take their knowledge and their
experience and utilize it for the betterment of the community as a whole. You can learn
