Editor@ upandcomingweekly.com. On Aug. 15, Legends Pub will host a poker run to raise money for the Cumberland County Guardian ad Litem (GAL) Foundation, Inc. The GAL Foundation assists children in foster care. Cumberland County currently has approximately 700 in foster care supported by child advo- cates of the State's Guardian ad Litem Program and the Department of Social Services. These children have been abused or neglected by their parents. Foster care funding covers the basics — food, clothing and school supplies. Many children in foster care miss out on activities that would enrich their lives. The foundation helps raise money to provide funding to augment areas, which cannot be funded by the state. This funding could provide tuition to summer camp, sports equipment, specialty classes or other activities. At this poker run, there are numerous activities, including a 50/50 raffle and a $250 shopping spree raffled off by Hot Hog Leather, which is located next to Legends. The ride is $10 a hand and $5 a hand for non-riders. The first bike will leave the parking lot at noon, so be there around 11 a.m. with a full tank of gas. Legends Pub is located at 4624 Bragg Blvd, Fayetteville. If you have any questions please contact Priscilla at (910) 867-2364 or email plefell5@aol.com. If there is a topic that you would like to discuss you can contact me at motorcycle4fun@aol.com. RIDE SAFE! Help raise funds for the Cumberland County Guardian ad Litem Foundation on August 15. The foundation covers expenses that state and federal funding cannot cover for foster children 4624 BRAGG BLVD. August 15th
