The mission of the NCMBC is to leverage military and other federal business opportunities to expand the economy, grow jobs and improve quality of life in North Carolina. Since 2005, the NCMBC has helped capable businesses identify, compete for, win, and execute over 2,013 contracts worth $3.8 to $14.1 billion. Throughout the year, the NCMBC hosts multiple strategic, industry-specific events to help educate companies on the upcoming trends, opportunities, and current and future needs of the military. These events also provide the opportunity to network with major defense contractors, Department of Defense (DoD) buyers and government agencies to build future teaming relationships and to learn more about defense procurement processes. 2015 NC Federal Advanced Technologies Review June 2-3 in Raleigh Hosted by Senator Richard Burr, the NCMBC, North Carolina Military Foundation, University of North Carolina, and the Institute for Defense and Business at North Carolina State University, the Federal Advanced Technologies Review will focus on the development of advanced technologies in North Carolina and the needs of the DoD and other federal agencies within the state. 14th Annual North Carolina Defense and Economic Development Trade Show August 3 Hosted by Senators Richard Burr and Thom Tillis, the NCMBC, and FTCC, the DTS will take place at FTCC's Fayetteville campus (2201 Hull Road). The event will include a traditional trade show, static displays and demonstrations of military equipment, informal networking opportunities, live vendor demonstrations, structured prime contractor teaming sessions, prime contractor "lessons learned" forums, installation small business panels, contracting workshops, and agency briefings for both prospective and current federal contractors. 2015 North Carolina Aerospace Supplier & Advanced Manufacturing Summit August 5-6 in Charlotte Hosted by Senator Richard Burr, the NCMBC, the NC Aerospace Initiative, the NC Aerospace Alliance, and the NC Department of Commerce, the ASAM Summit is a statewide business development and teaming event focused on current and future defense and commercial and general aviation business opportunities.
