Extension's 4-H Youth Development program and modeled after the
Cumberland County Citizens' Academy. It included presentations by
various departments and field trips to such county sites as the Solid
Waste landfill, Animal Control, the Sheriff 's Training Center, Crown
Coliseum and the Courthouse. The program's goal is to help young
people learn about county government and its various functions.
The Youth Citizens' Academy is expected to become an annual
summer program. For more information about 4-H, call 321-6860 or go
