She was born June 12, 1961 in Denver, CO. In addition to her father she is preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Irvin and sister, Beverly Beard. CAROLYN BRITTAIN PHILBECK Mrs. Carolyn Brittain Philbeck, 67, of Cherryville passed away on Saturday, May 1. Carolyn was born on September 16, 1953 in Cleveland County, NC, a daughter of the late Graten Brittain and Lillian Martin Brittain. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an additional set of par- ents who raised her, Robert and Mary Brittain; and four brothers and three sisters. Survivors include her hus- band, Ronnie Philbeck of the home; two daughters, Tammy Glover of Cherryville and Elizabeth "Beth" Williams of Kings Mountain; two sisters, Mary Daisy Grant of Lincolnton and Helen Greene of Fallston; a brother, Robert Brittain of Cherryville; six grandchil- dren; and three great grand- children. A native of Cleveland County, NC she was born August 26, 1921, the daugh- ter of the late Robert and Odessa Jenkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Linzie R.
