He strives to do his best and loves to learn. One of his passions is learning about US history and facts about our presidents. He played basketball on our school team and is a quiet leader who is admired by his teacher and peers. Julio is a great reader, enjoys math and computers. He always strives to do his best, and does what ever it takes to be successful and help others. He is a student of distinction. Cole Koeberer is a dedicated student who gives 100% effort every day. His product of work is outstanding and he helps others in the class and contributes to classroom discussions. Cole was a starter on the 7th grade Vista's boys basketball team. He's a hard working, coachable, and has good work ethic. Marissa Mills is 14 years old and an 8th grader at Woodson Elementary School. Marissa excels in all academic areas and is an all around wonderful student. She was honored at the Elk's Lodge in Red Bluff for March "Student of the Month" and also received "Student of the Year" for Woodson. She plays volleyball, softball, and AAU basketball. Her favorite subject is history. In the future, she wants to study at Stanford University to become a pediatrician. Henry Bartolomei is an honor roll student at Lassen View. He puts forth great effort in the classroom and in his extra activities. In addition to participating in school sports, Henry also plays the trumpet in the school band, and has acted, sang, and danced in school performances as part of the musical ensemble. Henry is an outstanding citizen. He is helpful and dependable; he can always be counted on to lend a helping hand. He is an excellent role model to the younger children at school, and a courteous young man with all he meets. Jason is a role model for all the students at Bend. He is respected by all students from K-8th grade. He is not only looked up to because he is the tallest in the school but also because he volunteers to help students whenever the opportunity arises. Jason is part of Good News Club, has helped teach students to rope during SERRF, and is part of Student Leadership Team. Jason has been on honor roll each trimester while participating in soccer and basketball. We look forward to seeing him being a leader in high school. Montana is a reliable and honest student. She has a strong Moral character. Montana is a 4.0 student and has since 4th grade. This year she was chosen for ACSA, (All Star Student Nomination for Tehama County). She is on Student Council and was Student of the Month for January, 2013. She is the FFA President--presiding over the most successful period of FFA success in the school's history—a State FFA Degree Recipient, Nursery Landscape Team Captain, past Junior Class Vice President and Melanie Rose Kinner Girl of Merit. She has maintained a competitive scholastic record throughout high school, while also maintaining a part time job and completing extensive community service. Bridget plans to pursue a degree in Animal Science, with the ultimate goal of entering the DVM program at Colorado State. Cassie Vinzant plans to attend Shasta College next year. After Shasta College, her goal is to transfer to California State University Chico, where she will pursue a Nursing degree. Junior, Chantal Narez is a charismatic, articulate and responsible young leader who serves as the newly elected Regional FFA Vice President, State FFA Job Interview finalist, AVID member and Key Club Vice President, and CSF Member. Her commitment to excellence allows her to maintain honor roll, actively participate in community improvement events and shine as athlete on the volleyball, basketball and golf teams. CHRISTOPHER MERCHANT is the most most polite young man you'll ever meet. Christopher is a dedicated student. He works well in groups or on his own. He is soft spoken and quiet but when he speaks it is worth listening to what he has to say. With his determination to succeed, he will accomplish great things. Conner is an exceptional student. He thinks outside the box and thrives on academic challenge. Not once, but twice on the state test, he achieved a perfect score 600 in mathematics! Conner also excels in science, demonstrating a deep understanding of the world's problems and a desire to solve them. He is extremely athletic and has received the MVP award at several sporting events. In addition, Conner is a conscientious student who is always willing to help his peers and be a friend to others. Deya was honored by the Red Bluff Elks Club as Metteer Student of the Month earlier this year. She has a 4.0 GPA, and works very hard to maintain it. She is very responsible, and sets a good example for her classmates.
