Allison has worked very hard and puts 110% effort into everything she does. Through her dedication and hard work, Allison has met her graduation requirements a whole year early and will be receiving her diploma in May! Through her perseverance, Allison also earned Honor Roll each session while at school. To recognize Allison's accomplishments, she was chosen as the Elk's Student of the Month for Salisbury in December, 2012. We wish you the best Allison! Anayeli Navarro is a senior whose rapport with staff and students is always positive. She shows respect and thoughtfulness in every situation. She demonstrates initiative, intelligence, and insight when dealing with her peers, staff, and in challenging situations. She gives her undivided attention to whomever she is interacting with. Anayeli is an extremely pleasant person to be around. She displays a sense of humor and brings a positive outlook to difficult situations in a way that is both sensitive and appropriate. Anayeli is the kind of student a teacher looks forward to having in their class because of her desire to be successful and thoughtful. Taylor was chosen to represent Berrendos for her perseverance and dedication. She has taken piano lessons since she was five years old. She recently displayed her musicianship in the school talent show. In addition, Taylor plays the clarinet in the school band. Her hobbies include playing the piano and taking dance lessons. Taylor's educational goal is to attend UC Davis and become a pharmacist. The person Taylor admires the most is her mom because she always encourages Taylor to do her best. Brittney Lawley always has a smile on her face and a fabulous disposition. Brittney is a hardworking student on her own but is also always eager to help others. Brittney has great leadership qualities, determination, skill and gets along well with her classmates. Brooke was chosen to represent Berrendos School because of her involvement and dedication to helping others. She has helped with Special Olympics and been a peer helper for High Hoops Basketball. Brook has been involved in RB Youth Soccer and RB Little League. Her hobbies include sports and reading. Brooke's educational goal is to attend college and become a successful businesswoman. The person(s) that Brooke admires the most are her parents because they work really hard and make the grown-up decisions. Bethany Strom will be attending UC Davis to pursue a degree in Civil Engineering and specialize in water resources. In high school she participated in RBHS band as a drum major and section leader. She also participated on the swim team, took ROP veterinarian technician, was a senior volunteer at Turtle Bay Exploration Park for animal care, and attended classes at Shasta College. His personality and work ethic has made him a favorite of the Gerber School staff. Alex has been an honor roll student every trimester. He plays both soccer and basketball for the Gerber Rams. He also plays for the Red Bluff traveling soccer team. Alex is looking forward to attending Red Bluff High School and eventually Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. He hopes to major in engineering. With his strong math skills, this is a very reachable goal. Alex would like to eventually be a civil engineer. Amelia, Mae, Muller will attend Butte College and transfer to a university to major in Biochemistry. She will then attend Veterinary school to become a zoo veterinarian. Mae has been active in Key Club, CSF, Fall Play, Spanish Honor Society, Spanish Club, Multicultural Club, Friday Night Live, and student government. She was a member of the section champion Volleyball team. She has been chosen as Rotary Student of the Month and Soroptimist Girl of Merit. She is the daughter of Chris and Casey Muller. Barbara Cardenas has been chosen as our Student of Distinction for the 2012-1013 school year, at Centennial High School. Barbara is in the 12th grade and on schedule to graduate in June. Barbara has been involved in our leadership class as well as ran two blood drives that we had in the Fall and Spring of this year. She has also received the honor of being both Elks and Exchange student of the month. Barbara is also a classroom TA, taking her job seriously, she is a perfectionist. She has also made the Honor Roll for the first three quarters of this school year, getting straight A's. Barbara has great school pride as well as self pride, she will be great at whatever she chooses to do after high school. Billy Swartz is the most positive student you have ever been around. When Mr. Swartz is faced with a challenge he attacks it with a calm precision that ensures success. His willingness to help and tutor his peers make him a valuable asset to any activity. Mr. Swartz also enjoys any sporting endeavor which involves exercise! Breann Thomas was also honored at the Elk's Lodge in Red Bluff as our April "Student of the Month". Breann is a wonderful role model and friend to her classmates. She enjoys tutoring the young students at her school. She looks forward to studying medicine at Brigham Young University. Brenna Groom has been accepted to UC San Diego. She wants to study Marine Biology at Scripps Institute of Oceanography. In high school she participated in ROP athletic training, CSF, French Club, and went to Europe to compete in the United World Games.
