The organization is a non-profit organization that exists to enhance the educational experience for students in the Corning Union Elementary School District, Superintendent Catherine Reimer said. "The Corning Elementary Education Foundation has raised funds to assist with the implementation of the holistic, interactive playground at West Street Elementary School," Reimer said. "Students are not only given the experience of learning traditional and hip-hop dance routines, but also taught the importance of perseverance, team work, motivation, and always giving your best." The best way for the community to get involved in supplying opportunities such as the camp and the dance academy is by participating in the tournament. Those who can't make it to the event may sponsor a hole or donate funds, Reimer said. There will be cash prizes for first, second and third place teams and there will also be a putting contest with a prize for the highest score, closet to the pin on holes 6 and 12 and a men's and women's longest drive hole. The event includes raffle prizes, a silent auction and Corning Ford has sponsored the donation of a car for a hole in one on hole 14, Reimer said. The tournament is a scramble format, 18 holes starting at 9 a.m. and lunch will be provided from Carlino's after the tournament. Registration and putting contest at 8 a.m. The cost for the tournament is $100 per player, which includes lunch and a gift.
