With founder and Texas Hall of Fame Cowboy Craig Cameron providing the "hot as a pistol" race commentary, you will delight in the thrills and chills of each trip as riders compete for the money and the glory of Extreme Cowboy Race Champion. This is an exciting fast-paced race against the clock, where riders compete for money, prizes and the glory of being named Extreme Race Cowboy/Cowgirl Champion. Riders meet with obstacles out on the course and are judged on the approach, execution and departure of each obstacle as well as horsemanship and speed. There is a guaranteed cash payout of $1,000 plus awards and prizes. The top 25 percent of each division will return for a second go on the course. This will be the second year for a Northern California Race with local riders as well as riders from other California locations and into Oregon. Enjoy food, drink and vendors. Come early, bring a comfy chair and spend the day enjoying the hottest show today. Open to riders of all disciplines and horses/mules of all breeds. Higginson, young men of Oakland, traced an automobile thief from their home city to Paynes Creek in this county, recovered the stolen property and brought George Seif, another young man who confessed to stealing a Ford roadster from E. Arts Council grants Tehama County residents are invited to apply small grants not to exceed the sum of $500 for the purpose of promoting and expanding the arts in our community. Schools, organizations and individuals are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to projects that impact the greatest number of community residents. "Arts" as used in this application include but are not limited to visual, performing and written. Grants requested to benefit one's personal property or income will not be considered. The funds are provided by the Tehama County Arts Council in partnership with the California Arts Council. A total of $3,000 will be awarded within Tehama County in 2013.
