The Tehama County Museum was one of 63 vendors at the Business Expo AfterHours Mixer held in February at the Elks Lodge in Red Bluff. By all accounts, it was a rousing success with museums, retailers, social services, employment services, entertainment, farmer's market, and many others represented. TCM Vice-President Darrell Mullins (shown behind the table) said, "It was a wonderful opportunity for different interests and enterprises to showcase what they have to offer – all in one venue. The students were thrilled when their tour guide Blair Pubols invited fourth-grader Stefani Avila to play Annie Bidwell's piano. It was a wedding gift from John to Annie in 1868. At the mansion students not only learned all about John and Annie Bidwell, they got a hands-on lesson in gold mining. "I got to swish the dirt and water around in the pan. I was trying to find the gold.
