The State of California has adopted legislation, known as The California Homemade Food Act" (Assembly Bill 1616), that requires local zoning ordinances to make certain provisions for "cottage food operations" as defined in California Government Code Section 113400 (Assembly Bill 1616). The Board of Supervisors of the County of Tehama deems it necessary to amend the Tehama County Code to regulate "cottage food operations" consistent with the requirements of state law; and establishing permitting processes and related amendments to Section 1.04.260 of The Tehama County Code to regulate cottage food operations as a "Home Occupation" Copies of the full text of the proposed Ordinance are availabie at the Cierk of the Board of Supervisors Office, 633 Washington St., Rm. 12, Red Bluff, California and at the Tehama County Planning Department, Room "I".
