The majority of that tax is distributed between the Crown Complex, The Arts Council of Faye eville/Cumberland County and the Faye eville Area Conven on & Visitors Bureau (FACVB). A small por on of the tax (.25%) is allocated for the Tourism Development Authority (TDA) to distribute to events that bring overnight visitors to Cumberland County. The FACVB works closely with the TDA-granted events. Some of the tasks we assist with in- clude: > Publish event informa on the web calendars the FACVB manages, local media calendars and tourism focused calendars. > Write at least one blog post featuring the event and sharing event informa on several mes a month on social media. > Create a "micro-site" for visitors interested in the event to easily gather informa on on things to see and do, and places to stay while in town for the event. > Solicit special hotel room rates for visitors. This informa on is provided on the micro-site. > Complete a report from event-day data show- ing where visitors are from and other informa on about the event.
