Too many fi res are caused by electrical and many can be prevented. Now challenges only by complaint and poor people don't complain for fear of eviction. The property next to you may NOT be safe! • Reduced income tax rates which help the very wealthy at the expense of the working poor and elimi- nated earned income tax credit as well as slashed unemployment benefi ts • Reduced sales tax to 2% on yachts so very wealthy could buy more. • Failure to support public education by: Removing incentives for teachers to receive higher salaries by eliminating extra pay for advanced degrees; expanding charter schools which take money directly from local school boards, giving money to private and religious schools under the guise of "oppor- tunity scholarships" which help more middle class students, set up "achievement school districts" for "failing schools" under a whole separate bureaucratic structure separate from local school board • Failure to have adequate staff in Department of Public Instruction to evaluate new and renewal credentials creating a huge backlog resulting in hundreds if not thousands of eligible teachers not being paid as licensed teachers or getting the appropriate benefi ts • Allowed fracking and prohibited the public disclosure of chemicals and the proprietary formulas used in fracking • Failure to adequately fund child protective services and reduce caseloads and gave lip service to "unborn children's lives" while many living children are severely abused and even killed by their parents and caregivers.
