The Council on Aging/Neal Senior Center has partnered with Walgreens to offer Flu Shots to senior adults age 50 and better. Flu Shots will be offered at the Neal Senior Center, Tuesday, September 7 th , 2016 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Insurance either Medicaid or Medicare will be billed. Participants, who are uninsured or have insurance that does not cover a flu shot, can register for a shot, but must pay out of pocket. To register, please contact the Neal Senior Center at 704.482.3488. Dine Do you enjoy good food and great fellowship? If so, you are invited to join the Neal Senior Center Dine Around Club for seniors age 50 and better. The Dine Around Club meets at an area restaurant on the 4th Thursday in the months of January - September. We will be dining at Kelly's Seafood located at 1204 East Dixon Blvd. in Shelby at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2016. The Council on Aging/Neal Senior Center will hold final audition for the Annual Dinner Theatre Production on Thursday, August 11 th , 2016 at 1:00 p.m. The Neal Senior Center is excited to announce that this year's production is the Andy Griffith Show episode, "My Fair Ernest T. Bass" We are looking for any senior adults age 50 or better who would like to participate. All are welcome. This year's production will be directed by Rebecca "Becky" Reger. Walgreens Wellness Seminar Medication Safety Medical Equipment The cost for medical equipment can be pretty high, espe- cially if you only need the equipment for a short period of time. The Senior Center has some medical equipment that can be loaned to seniors in Cleveland County. We have wheelchairs, potty chairs and walkers that can be loaned out. If you, or someone you know, need any of this equip- ment, and you know that you are going to need it for a short time you can contact the Services Department at 482-3488 for more information.
