May 2, 2012 QPD Arrest Report April 11th to April 26th, 2012 The following arrests were made by the Quartzsite Police Department 4-12: Joshua Rios, age 24, of Albuquerque, NM, was cited and released for Excessive Speed. 4-13: David Sanchez, age 29, of Tucson, AZ, was cited and released for Excessive Speed. 4-14: Esther Corral, age 40, of Yorba Linda, CA, was cited and released for Excessive Speed. 4-15: James Lee Heald, age 59, a transient, was arrested and booked into the La Paz County Jail for Loitering/Begging and having an outstanding war- rant out of Lake Havasu City, AZ. 4-16: Linda Saulsbury, age 65, of Quartzsite, was cited and released for Theft. 4-17: Orlando Tinoco, age 20, of Quartzsite, was cited and released for Disorderly Conduct. 4-18: Adam Graf, age 20, from Denville, NJ, was cited and released for Excessive Speed. 4-18: Timothy Macias, age 22, of Mesa, AZ, was cited and released for Excessive Speed. 4-18: Maria Rosales, age 36, of El Monte, CA, was cited and released for Possession of a Radar Detec- tor in a CMV and No Current Trailer Registration. 4-23: Gwenevre McCarthy, age 59, of Poway, AZ, was cited and released for Excessive Speed. 4-25: John Lewis Warren, age 46, of Goodyear, AZ, was cited and released for Excessive Speed. 4-25: Seth Charles Casteel, age 31, of Los Ange- les, CA, was cited and released for Excessive Speed. 4-25: David Vollebregt, age 52, of San Clemente, CA, was cited and released for Excessive Speed. 4-25: Harold Gallimore, age 36, of Atlanta, GA, was cited and released for Excessive Speed. www.DesertMessenger.com QES 5th & 6th graders' have some thoughts about famous quotes. 1. Page 15 Food Handlers Classes La Paz County Health Dept. provides Food Handler Classes in Quartzsite. The classes are held on Wednesdays. In December and Janu- ary, the Department adds Friday classes to the schedule. La Paz County Health Regulations require Samuel – Treat others the way you want to be treated; Jasmine – Listen to others; 4. Some people brighten a room when they enter it; others when they leave. Jacob – If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all that all food handlers or those people han- dling equipment must obtain a Food Handlers card prior to working in a food booth. Food Handler cards cost $15 (fees waived for volun- teers for non-profi t groups) can be obtained by coming to Health Department on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday (7:00 am – 5:00 pm) to watch the video and take the test with a score of 70% or higher (retakes allowed) or by presenting a current food handlers card from another jurisdiction and paying cost of La Paz card, or by claiming extensive food knowledge and taking the test (no retakes without watch- ing the video). The food handler card must be obtained annually.
