We want to go over some areas of the notices to help our taxpayers understand this information. This is not a tax bill; this is just the notifi ca- tion of value that has been placed on your real property and improvements. If you'll notice the letter format has changed from previous years, this gives you the values for 2012 and 2013. If you feel that your property has been improperly valued or listed on the tax roll, you have the opportu- nity to fi le an appeal with The County Assessor's Offi ce within 60 days after the mail date on the front of your no- tice. You may visit the Assessor's Of- fi ce in person, by mail or by telephone and request an appeal form. We will be more than happy to mail one out to you right away. You can now access the appeal forms from the Depart- Page 11 ment of Revenue's Website at www. azdor.gov, and down load the forms. You must understand that you will be only appealing the 2013 Value, not 2012 value. Remember you are ap- pealing the Valuation of your property NOT tax dollars. The appeal deadline is May 14, 2012. Please keep in mind that we can only give or mail the appeals to the titled owners of the property. Make sure your parcel ID number, owners name, mailing address, and legal description on your notice are correct. Should there be a change of address or any other discrepancy, please notify our offi ce immediately so that we can correct our records. For those of you who have not re- ceived your notice you can call our offi ce to see if it has been returned. Remember you can always call our offi ce with any questions, (928) 669-6165 at your convenience. La Paz County Assessor Sharon Schuler & Staff
