Shirley Broughton has helped in so many places it's hard to know where to start. This is just a small gesture to say thank you to Shirley for the many years of commitment and dedication to the senior center. With your help in the consignment store in setting up, pricing, displays, sales and much much more, your passion toward the consignment store has made it the success it is. Working at the front desk every Wednesday afternoon, your beautiful smile and cheerful attitude has greeted and welcomed many clients. We also appreciate your help with Monday night Bingo. Your help with the woman's support group means so much to the women that come and I couldn't get away without men- tioning what GREAT cupcakes you always make. Can you help us, Yes YOU can! Just call me, Lori Livingston @ 704-484-5487 or email me at llivingston@agingcoun- cil.org Aging is inevitable. Therefore, getting older is a natural part of life. How you will feel as you age depends on many things, which can include what health problems run in your family and also the choices you make. A Pharmacist from Walgreens Pharmacy will conduct a free seminar on Healthy Aging on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. for senior adults age 55 and better. Individuals will learn the importance of taking good care of their body and positive ways to deal with stress and other health concerns or habits in effort to prevent disease and increase quality of life. Through this seminar, participants will have the opportu- nity to ask questions and to better understand that it's never too early or too late to change bad habits and start good ones. It's important to know that no matter when you start, a healthy lifestyle can make a difference in how you feel and what you can do both in the present and future. Please register by Monday, September 14 th if you'd like to attend by calling the Council on Aging/Neal Senior Center at (704) 482-3488.
