The graveside ser- vice was held at Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church, Casar, NC. Mr. Sain served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Sain; his parents, Kemp Sain and Lona Richard Sain; and a sister. Mr. Sain is survived by his son; Honz Sain of Switzerland; three sisters; and a brother. Mrs. Rollins was preced- ed in death by her husband, Edward Rollins; her parents, James Osborne and Callie Mae Morris Hendrick; a sis- ter, Virginia Adams; and a brother, James Hendrick. JAMES "JIM" BLACK Mr. James "Jim" Black, age 92, of Cherryville, NC, passed away on September 4, 2015. A Celebration of Life service was held at First Presbyterian Church in Cherryville, NC. A grave- side service followed at the Cherryville City Cemetery, Black family section. Sergeant Black served our country in the U.S. Army. He earned the EAME service medal with 4 bronze service stars, the Good Conduct medal, the WWII Victory medal, and the Jubilee of Liberty medal and was awarded a Silver Star for gallantry in action in Germany in 1944. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Mullen; and his parents, James and Ava Wise Black. Mr. Black is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Jyma and Mike Atwell; his two granddaughters; and sisters Katherine Wiegel, Sue Sneed, Nez Hovis, and Betty Jane Robinson.
