Whether it's a new drink at the coffee shop, a new find at your favorite boutique, or a new dish at your favorite restaurant, there's always something to do or something new to try! Greg's Art, Poery, & Gi„s offers both poery and gi„s as well as monthly art events such and canvas painting events. Owner Kelly Hathaway, who was born in Fayeeville, moved back to the area from the West coast, coming home to open her shop on Maxwell Street. Kelly says she loves working Downtown and couldn't imagine working anywhere else. "I'm the luckiest girl alive," says Kelly, who loves being surrounded by the creative people who own the shops and restaurants Downtown. It's no secret Downtown has come a long way over the years thanks to revitalization efforts and thriving shops and restaurants lining the streets. Kelly says one of the challenges Downtown faces is the opinion some people still have of the area, noting some people avoid the area entirely. "A lot of people totally miss out on Downtown," notes Kelly, Kelly is as warm and inviting as her store, and she enjoys talking to each one of her customers, whether they're regulars or popping in for the first time. She uses this time to connect with her customers and spread the word about the other great shops and restaurants Downtown.
